YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST:
Works with stakeholders to establish and monitor the business justification and expected benefits from change.
Contributes to technical solution design, ensuring alignment with business needs
Manages the full lifecycle of system and process enhancements, from coordination to rollout, guaranteeing a seamless transition for operational teams.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to enhance business process efficiency and optimize the use of enabling solutions.
Produces detailed testing documentation: test strategy, test plan, test cases, and results.
Reports on quality metrics and testing outcomes.
Manages defects, ensuring timely escalation, resolution, and mitigation of issues and risks.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of business analysis and project best practices and methodology
Contributes to the enterprise Business Architecture model through sharing of new or changed capabilities, discovered gaps and opportunities, and impacts of other project related changes.
Supports change management by engaging stakeholders to ensure changes are understood, embraced, and effectively managed.
Assists with training aspects of the project as required. This may include documentation of solution and process changes, delivery of training and mentoring.
Mentors more junior BAs and fosters teamwork.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
8+ years of proven experience as a business analyst, preferably in the insurance industry, including the effective use of relevant tools and technologies.
CBAP certificate from the IIBA is required
Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a related field such as Computer Science, Business Administration or Business Analysis is an asset.
Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
Highly skilled at using business analysis tools including MS Office, Teams, JIRA, Confluence, Lucid Chart and others to document, communicate and manage requirements, visualize processes and create reports.
Highly proficient in verbal and written communication, able to translate complex topics for all organizational levels, resulting in clear technical documentation and business requirements.
Expertly facilitates collaboration among cross-functional stakeholders to foster common understanding, build consensus, make decisions, and solve problems.
Adept at analyzing business processes, defining the current state, and uncovering opportunities for improved efficiency.
Significant experience performing strategic analysis and ensuring alignment of business initiatives with organizational goals.
Significant experience in test strategy, planning, and execution to ensure solution quality and adherence to requirements.
Self-directed and exceptionally organized, with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, dynamic tasks continuously.
Committed to lifelong learning, demonstrated by successfully completing self-directed industry education and graded examinations.
