Senior iOS Developer

Location: Calgary, Alberta (Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site)

Job Type: Contract 12-month engagement

This role is part of the Wealth Management Technology division, specifically within the Client Channels Technology team. The group is responsible for designing and delivering modern, secure, and intuitive digital experiences through mobile and web platforms. The team focuses on client-facing applications and operates in a fast-paced, collaborative environment driving digital innovation in financial services.

We are seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer to contribute to the ongoing development of high-profile financial mobile applications. The successful candidate will help build and maintain features for flagship apps used by thousands of clients, ensuring they remain cutting-edge, secure, and user-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain features for major iOS applications using Swift.
  • Participate in codebase maintenance and upgrade processes aligned with iOS and Xcode updates.
  • Manage app signing and provisioning, including certificate pinning and push notifications.
  • Address and resolve issues surfaced through crash analytics, user feedback, and monitoring tools.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to resolve development and build environment issues.
  • Contribute to the improvement of development practices and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Swift (v6); familiarity with Objective-C is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of iOS APIs (e.g., Local Authentication, WebKit, Networking).
  • In-depth knowledge of iOS development concepts, including threading and crash diagnostics.
  • Proficiency with tools like Xcode, xcodebuild, and the iOS application loader.
  • Experience with iOS certificate management and provisioning processes.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with and developing APIs.
  • Good understanding of user experience design and best practices.
  • Awareness of Android development concepts is a plus.
