Senior Electrical Estimator - Burnaby, BC

Your New Role:
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to join the Projects team based in Burnaby. This is a strategic role designed for an experienced estimator who can lead estimating processes, support junior team members, and contribute to project success from pre-construction through final bid submission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs and pricing for electrical projects and changes
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and clients
- Strategize and communicate effectively with key stakeholders
- Manage the workloads of estimators on the team
- Review estimates and provide detailed feedback
- Draft proposals and submit tenders, ensuring compliance with specifications
- Prepare and coordinate RFQs and gather competitive supplier pricing
- Improve and update labour and material requirements for bids
- Analyze practices and pricing to identify cost savings and efficiencies
- Mentor and support junior estimators
- Complete accurate quantity take-offs and quotations
What You Need to Succeed:
- Electrical trade qualification (TQ), or AScT, E.I.T., or P.Eng status
- 5-7 years of experience estimating medium to large-scale electrical construction projects ranging from $5M to $50M, including Mixed-Use Residential, Commercial, and Institutional developments
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Solid knowledge of electrical sub-trades and trade scopes
- Proficient in reading electrical drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
- Familiar with industry regulations and bid depository standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office; Accubid experience is an asset
- Ability to build collaborative team relationships
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
