The Junior Product Manager will bring 1+ year of field sales experience combined with 1-2 years in marketing or product-related roles, preferably within the pharmaceutical, consumer health, or medical sectors, to ensure the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns. This position also involves collaboration with other departments to align resources, materials, and policies. This role provides key support to the Senior Marketing Manager. It works cross-functionally to deliver business results while gaining exposure to brand planning, analytics, regulatory processes, and sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Brand & Product Support

  • Led the products assigned to success with current and innovative strategies within budget and promptly.
  • Assist in the execution and planning of annual brand plans and promotional strategies to create outstanding brand value.
  • Support the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns, product launches, and key tactical initiatives for printing and digital communications.
  • Monitor brand performance and conduct post-campaign analyses to recommend improvements with the products assigned.
  • Prepare presentations, decks, and sell sheets for the sales team for DTC and HCP meetings.
  • Adhere to Health Canada regulations and guidelines while creating and supporting the design labels, marketing materials, and brand assets for printed or digital communications.
  • Maintain and evolve Exzell Pharma's visual identity, ensuring all designs are on-brand and meet company standards.
  • Assist marketing team in developing brand guidelines and templates to streamline the creation of marketing materials across the organization.

2. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (sales, regulatory, supply chain, medical, finance) to ensure the timely execution of plans.
  • Coordinate with agencies and vendors on creative development, production, and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Ensure all promotional tools comply with internal SOPs and regulatory requirements (e.g., PAAB, Health Canada).
  • Work closely with the marketing team, designers, regulatory team, and social media specialists to develop digital and print marketing assets, including social media graphics, infographics, brochures, presentations, email templates, and trade show materials.
  • Alignments with regulatory, medical and quality assurance teams to review and update product labels and marketing assets as needed, maintaining accuracy and compliance across all touchpoints.
  • Agile to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.

3. Sales & Marketing Execution

  • Develop sales tools, product messaging, and training materials to support field teams.
  • Partner with the sales force to gather market insights, understand customer feedback, and enhance in-market execution.
  • Participate in field visits or sales meetings to maintain close market connections.
  • Manage promotional budgets, ensuring expenditures align with brand strategies and are optimized for impact.
  • Event Support: The Junior Product Manager will ensure that all events and promotional activities have brand-aligned visual materials. This includes actively designing graphics for booths, presentations, signage, and any other assets needed to ensure the brand messaging is well-perceived by the target audiences.

4. Analytics & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct competitive analysis and maintain up-to-date market insights.
  • Analyze IMS data, internal dashboards, and promotional effectiveness metrics to drive decision-making and market data to refine strategies and maximize impact.
  • Analyze marketing performance using KPIs and market data to refine strategies and maximize impact.
  • Support forecast and demand planning with relevant business intelligence and assumptions to support decision-making based on the ROI of marketing initiatives.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Science, or related field (MBA is an asset)

Experience:

Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare sales.

1-2 years of experience in marketing, brand support, or product coordination roles.

1-2 years of OTC marketing experience in the pharma industry is essential.

Experience managing both B2B and B2C marketing strategies in the pharmaceutical sector.

Clear understanding of the Canadian healthcare/pharma market and regulatory environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with Canva, Project management software, Adobe, Hootsuite and Social Media platforms.

Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French or Portuguese is an asset.

Proven ability to manage product lifecycles, from launch to growth and optimization.

Skills:

Strong technical marketing skills, including segmentation, SWOT analysis, competitive strategy development, and risk assessment.

Expertise in omnichannel marketing strategy, execution, and associated KPIs.

Work Environment & Additional Requirements

• Office & Remote Work: This role follows a hybrid model, requiring 4 days per week in the office and 1 day working from home.

• Travel: Occasional business travel is required within Canada and internationally to engage with stakeholders to support brand initiatives, participate in events, and attend sales meetings.
