Position Overview:

As the Maintenance Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of Maintenance and Toolroom professionals, ensuring that equipment, tooling, and facilities meet the standards of functionality, reliability, and efficiency. In this key leadership role, you will be instrumental in maintaining seamless operations, fostering innovation, and contributing to NSPi's reputation for quality and dependability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Set clear objectives for the Maintenance and Toolroom teams. Develop and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs that enhance reliability, reduce downtime, and support overall manufacturing flexibility.
  • Operational Excellence: Plan and coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Leverage your technical expertise to troubleshoot a range of issues, from tooling and dimensional quality to equipment failures, to keep production running at peak performance.
  • Team Development: Lead by example, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship. Evaluate performance, deliver constructive coaching, and foster a culture of accountability and growth.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with Engineering, Quality, and other departments to address technical challenges, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure timely, effective communication with staff, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop, maintain, and audit necessary documentation, repair records, and KPIs. Ensure compliance with all relevant automotive industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Resource Management: Estimate resource needs and implement cost-effective solutions for tooling, equipment, and services. Monitor expenditures, prepare business cases for new assets, and uphold high manufacturing standards.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate in a Maintenance-related field (Tool & Die Maker, Millwright, or Electrician) or 10+ years of related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a managerial or supervisory role, ideally in the automotive stamping industry.
  • Proven ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve issues across a range of tools, dies, and equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude, strong decision-making skills, hands-on capabilities and a sense of urgency to ensure repairs and maintenance align with customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer software for reporting, maintenance management, and performance tracking.
  • Demonstrated experience in initiating continuous improvement projects, developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs, and managing in-house or subcontracted tool and die work.

Working Conditions:

  • Schedule: 6:00am - 3:00pm (Flexibility will be required in cases of machine downtime).
