Landscape Construction Manager

Full-Time Victoria, BC Starting Summer 2025

Fallingwater Landscapes is seeking a highly skilled and grounded Landscape Construction Manager to lead the installation of complete landscape renovations and new builds-from hardscapes and softscapes to the fine details that ensure a polished result. This is a hands-on leadership role guiding two committed crews through high-quality residential and small-scale commercial landscape construction projects.

We're looking for a steady hand-someone who can execute complex jobs with precision, mentor others into excellence, and take full ownership of projects from the first shovel to final walkthrough.

What You'll Do

  • Lead full-scale installations and renovations including pavers, retaining walls, grading and drainage, plantings, irrigation, lighting, and light carpentry.
  • Actively manage on-site work (approx. 60% of your time) while balancing backend planning, crew coordination, meetings, and communication (40%).
  • Mentor and manage two crews (5-7 people), supporting their development toward independent, high-quality execution.
  • Own the client experience during construction, providing updates, resolving concerns, and managing the project through final handoff and warranty check-ins.
  • Maintain construction standards across all active sites, ensuring alignment with quality, safety, and timeline expectations.
  • Collaborate with our estimator to understand project scope and constraints-you'll focus on execution, not bidding or job costing.

Who You Are

  • Have 5+ years of leadership experience in residential or commercial landscape construction.
  • Are confident in plan reading, layout, grading, and sequencing-and adapt smoothly to changing conditions.
  • Lead by example, with the patience and presence to mentor and develop others.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with both crew and clients.
  • Are process-oriented, but flexible enough to adapt as systems improve.
  • Are highly self-directed, organized, and committed to producing quality work.
  • Hold a Class 5 driver's license and are legally eligible to work in Canada.

Why Join Fallingwater

We're a quality-driven company with a strong focus on leadership, job enrichment, learning, and long-term success-for our projects and our people.

As part of our commitment to excellence and transparency, we use open-book management and The Great Game of Business to involve team members in understanding the business and contributing to its success. We also offer performance-based gain sharing so that when the company wins, the team wins too.

  • Competitive compensation
  • Gain share program
  • A hands-on, supportive leadership environment
  • Education budget and a learning-focused culture that supports professional growth
  • A steady pipeline of projects
