Position Summary:
The IT Service Desk Technician - Level 2 is a cornerstone of our technical team, responsible for resolving more complex user issues and acting as an escalation point for our Level 1 technicians. You will leverage your experience to troubleshoot a wide range of technical problems across diverse client environments. We are seeking a technician with proven skills who is not only technically proficient but also dedicated to providing outstanding customer service and contributing to our team-first culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties of a Level 1 Technician, including frontline user support, ticket creation, and basic troubleshooting, serving as a model of excellent service.
- Provide advanced remote and on-site support for issues related to Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualization (Hyper-V/ESXi), and networking (HP switches, Ruckus APs).
- Manage and administer client environments within Microsoft 365 and Azure (Entra ID), including user accounts, mail flow, and SharePoint permissions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues with workstations (Lenovo), applications, and network connectivity.
- Utilize our RMM (N-able N-central) and PSA (ConnectWise) tools to manage tickets, deploy solutions, and proactively monitor client systems.
- Assist with the administration and troubleshooting of backup solutions (Veeam, Cove Backup) and VoIP systems (3CX).
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for our knowledge base.
- Mentor Level 1 technicians and provide guidance on technical issues.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in an IT support role, preferably within an MSP environment.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory (User Management, Group Policy), and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Demonstrated experience with networking concepts and hardware (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, HP/Ruckus).
- Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V or VMware ESXi).
- Familiarity with RMM and PSA tools (N-able and ConnectWise experience is a significant asset).

- Proven ability to work full-time in our Winnipeg office (260-100 Innovation Drive).
- (Asset) Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications).
- (Asset) Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
