This role is focused on delivering operational excellence and automation across enterprise authentication and identity management systems, including Kerberos integration and support. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux/Unix skills, hands-on Jenkins experience, and solid scripting capabilities-particularly in Perl. While direct Kerberos experience is not required, candidates should be familiar with authentication protocols or willing to ramp up quickly.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in hybrid cloud environments and is passionate about building resilient, secure, and automated infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L3-level operational support for enterprise authentication and identity management systems.
  • Support and manage enterprise identity and authentication systems, including Kerberos.
  • Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot authentication failures and improve identity workflows.
  • Participate in onboarding and integration of applications into centralized authentication systems.
  • Contribute to the modernization and automation of identity management services.
  • Document procedures, runbooks, and best practices for authentication technologies.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address infrastructure incidents and resolve issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure releases, upgrades, and new service integrations.
  • Build and enhance automation to reduce manual processes across deployment and monitoring.
  • Optimize infrastructure for performance, capacity, and reliability across global systems.
  • Improve runbooks, documentation, and knowledge sharing within support teams.
  • Partner with L2/L3 global teams to ensure consistent support and delivery.
  • Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and incident response tooling.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Linux systems engineering roles.
  • Deep expertise with Linux/Unix systems administration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and deployment automation.
  • Proficiency in Perl and/or other scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS) and security basics.
  • Exposure to authentication mechanisms such as Kerberos, SSL/TLS, SAML, etc.
  • Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies and production support practices.
  • Experience implementing and tuning infrastructure monitoring and dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kubernetes or other container orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, particularly in global environments.
  • Ability to work independently in high-pressure, critical production environments.
