Position: Sales Specialist

Wonderful Sales Representative opportunity with our client Abbott Laboratories Co./Abbott Diabetes Care in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Diabetes Sales Specialist with 1-2 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales. In this role, you will be responsible for driving maximum sales growth within an assigned geographical territory. You will engage with pharmacies to promote and educate on Abbott Diabetes Care products, ensuring that customer needs and expectations are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your territory like a business, maximizing sales by analyzing market dynamics and using available information to meet short and long-term goals.
- Increase sales and market share of test strips and other key products by effectively educating healthcare professionals (HCPs) on Abbott products, including FreeStyle InsuLinx Libre, for insulin-using patients.
- Execute targeted patient start programs (including clinic days and other events) to accelerate the initiation of insulin therapy.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for your territory, utilizing a selling model that includes pre-call planning, opening, positioning, probing, needs assessment, objection handling, closing, and post-call analysis.
- Identify and act on new opportunities to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate closely with Abbott Laboratories representatives and marketing team members to increase market share.
- Continuously develop your knowledge on diabetes, new products, tools, and the evolving business environment to enhance your sales strategies and territory management.
- Communicate sales activity, follow-up, and reporting in a clear and concise manner, meeting key administrative and project deadlines.
- Maintain all assigned company equipment, records, and supplies in accordance with company policies for efficient operations.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 1-2 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent selling and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and present innovative solutions.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
