Position Summary:

To support Sunterra Farms' ongoing activities, we are seeking an Accounting and Administrative Assistant to help with a range of tasks and projects. The successful applicant will be responsible for various accounting and office administrative functions to support the Sunterra Group companies and will work in our bright, modern office space located just outside the village of Acme, Alberta. Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively with many members of the Sunterra team, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the tasks below:

Accounts Payable - review, enter and process vendor invoices, adhere to established internal controls, establish and maintain vendor files, process team member expenses, complete payment analysis and reporting.

Accounts Receivable - generate customer invoices, process credit memos, prepare deposits, carry out customer management, monitoring, and reporting on accounts receivable.

Other Accounting Duties - complete account reconciliations and analysis, generate month end and ad hoc reports, prepare deposits, create and distribute cheques and payments, and other accounting duties as assigned.

Answer phone lines, assist callers with their requests, direct calls to appropriate person.

Assist and direct visitors, couriers, and others arriving on site.

Plan, prepare for, and oversee meetings, events and other team activities.

Carry out various administrative activities such as overseeing courier and mail shipments, sourcing and ordering supplies, assisting with grant application and report creation, and supporting other team members with administrative requests.

Maintain an organized office including storage rooms, kitchen and other shared areas.

Be willing to take on or assist with new projects, tasks or requests from team members, such as event planning and office communications, procuring requested items, testing new processes.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma; post-secondary certificate or diploma in accounting or office administration is an asset.

Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive, SharePoint and Outlook. Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro and accounting software an asset.

Detail-oriented, thorough, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.

Strong oral and written communication skills.
