Iris's client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada, based out of Toronto, ON is looking to hire Lead FS Java Developer for a long term opportunity.

Our Client is a Canadian multinational financial services company and the largest bank in Canada by market capitalization. Bank is serving individual consumers, small and middle market businesses and large corporations with a full range of banking, investing, asset management and other financial and risk-management products and services.

Title: Lead FS Java Developer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid- 1-2 Days onsite/week)

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of extensive experience in software development, with a significant focus on full-stack development.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Java, particularly with Spring Boot (or other modern Java frameworks).
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Angular (version 8+ preferred), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, design patterns, and data structures.
• Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of developers.
