KIT Recruitment is working with a reputable food manufacturing client to find a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales for their St. Laurent, QC location. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that specializes in retail-ready beef and lamb products. The successful candidate will lead sales efforts in the Quebec and Atlantic regions, overseeing customer relationships, strategic growth initiatives, and a high-performing sales team to meet and exceed organizational objectives.
Position Details:
- Salary: $120,000 - $150,000
- Bonus: Up to 30% based on performance
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, onsite
- Vacation: 4 weeks to start
- RRSP: 10% company contribution after 1 year of employment

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the Quebec and Atlantic markets in collaboration with the VP Sales, Canada.
- Oversee and manage a team of sales professionals, providing leadership, performance coaching, and KPI monitoring.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail, food service, and trade clients, including Metro, Loblaws, Costco, and Walmart.
- Drive growth in fresh and frozen beef/lamb product categories, ensuring effective execution of customer supply needs.
- Coordinate product availability with the procurement and logistics teams to support planned promotions and inventory forecasts.
- Monitor financial performance, including sales, margins, market share, and accounts receivables.
- Conduct market research and maintain competitive intelligence to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Create and manage promotional and sales communication materials tailored to regional needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction targets are met and employee engagement remains high.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or equivalent required.
- 5+ years of sales leadership experience within the meat manufacturing or distribution industry, with a focus on retail-ready beef and/or lamb products.
- Proven success selling to major retail and food service accounts.
- Strong knowledge of retail case-ready protein and further processed meat products.
- Experience with demand planning, sales strategy, and contract negotiation.
- Strong communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
- Bilingual in English and French is a strong asset.
- Ability to travel regionally as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
