Job Title: Truck Driver (F-550, G License - Ottawa area)

Location: Ottawa, ON

Pay: $35 per hour

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Truck Driver to join our client's general contracting team. In this role, you will operate a Ford F-550 flatbed truck to transport materials, tools, and equipment to various job sites across the Ottawa region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report to the yard daily for dispatch, loading, and instructions.
• Safely operate an F-550 truck to deliver materials to construction sites throughout Ottawa.
• Load, secure, and transport materials including lumber, tools, and light equipment using proper safety tie-downs and handling practices.
• Follow designated routes, adapt to road/site conditions, and communicate any delays or challenges to dispatch.
• Assist with manual loading/unloading when needed.
• Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain clean delivery logs, timesheets, and inspection reports.
• Keep vehicle and yard space organized and clean.
• Maintain awareness of jobsite safety and comply with all company and site-specific policies.

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario G driver's license
• Minimum 10 years of professional driving experience with a clean abstract
• Comfortable operating a Ford F-550 (no special license required)
• Good knowledge of regional roads and neighborhoods
• Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs and working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Dependable, punctual, and professional
• Strong communication and time-management skills
