We offer psychotherapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, holistic health services, and family-centered programs - all under one roof and rooted in safety, compassion, and relationship.

Our Receptionist is the first face families see - the one who holds the space where healing begins.

The Role

We're looking for a warm, highly organized, and self-motivated Receptionist to join our on-site team in Ottawa, ON. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, has experience in a medical or mental health clinic, and brings both administrative confidence and a compassionate presence to their work. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet families, children, and visitors with warmth, calm, and professionalism
  • Manage phone and email communications, booking, cancellations, and general inquiries
  • Coordinate daily scheduling for multiple clinicians and therapeutic services
  • Maintain and update client records, intake forms, and documentation systems
  • Oversee Second Nature Centre's social media channels, including creating and posting basic content (we can train you!)
  • Assist in organizing and setting up community events, workshops, and centre-based programs
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to help maintain a welcoming, organized, and sensory-considerate space
  • Support clinicians and centre staff with supply management and day-to-day logistics
  • Maintain confidentiality and trauma-informed communication in every interaction
  • What You Bring

    • Experience in a medical office or mental health clinic setting is required
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - you know how to hold space and listen deeply
    • Self-motivation, reliability, and comfort working both independently and as part of a team
    • Experience or interest in managing social media platforms (Instagram/Facebook preferred)
    • Ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations with grace and discretion
    • Respect for neurodiversity and a willingness to learn about trauma-informed and inclusive practices
    • Tech-savvy with comfort using email, scheduling systems, and digital forms (e.g., Google Workspace, Jane App, etc.)

    Why Work With Us

    • A competitive benefits package to support your health and wellbeing
    • Access to career coaching, mentorship, and professional development
    • A values-aligned team culture where emotional safety and mutual care are prioritized
    • The chance to support meaningful, life-changing work with children and families
    • A centre that values relationships over rigidity, and people over performance
