About the Role

We're looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our growing team. This role offers the right person the opportunity to take ownership, contribute to a purpose-driven firm, and make a meaningful impact on the financial clarity and confidence of the clients we serve. In this role, you'll go beyond compliance-providing trusted guidance and building relationships with clients who rely on us to help them navigate key financial decisions with confidence. Your professionalism and purpose-driven mindset will directly contribute to their success.

You'll lead year-end engagements, including preparing and finalizing financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, and managing related compliance matters. This includes handling CRA correspondence and ensuring deadlines are met with care and accuracy. You'll work directly with clients, building respectful relationships and supporting them every step of the way.

What Your Day to Day Will Look Like

  • Manage and review year-end engagements
  • Oversee the implementation of CSRS 4200 Compilation engagements
  • Prepare and review personal, corporate, and trust tax returns (T1, T2, T3)
  • Monitor tax legislation and update internal compliance practices as needed
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to staff
  • Liaise with CRA on client matters (e.g., adjustments, elections, information requests)
  • Help develop internal checklists, workflows, and templates to support quality
  • Ensure deliverables meet firm standards and deadlines

What You Need to Succeed

  • CPA designation in good standing
  • 3-5 years of Canadian public practice experience
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian tax and CSRS 4200 standards
  • Proficiency in Countable or Caseware, Profile Tax, QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft 365
  • Experience with workflow and compliance tools
  • Comfortable working independently and with a collaborative team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
