About the Role
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Applications, we are seeking a strategic and technically adept Director, Human Resource (HR) Applications to lead the evolution and optimization of our Human Resources Applications, with a strong focus on Workday. This role will be instrumental in driving the successful implementation, integration, and ongoing enhancement of Workday HR modules across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in HR technology, a proven track record of Workday implementations, and a passion for enabling HR and business leaders through data and systems excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction, implementation, and continuous improvement of Workday and other HR applications, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategies.
- Oversee the full lifecycle implementation of Workday HR and Payroll
- Post implementation lead the implementation of additional modules, upgrades, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to identify system needs, define requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.
- Manage a team of HRIS analysts and external consultants, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across all HR applications and processes.
- Support the development and maintenance of system documentation, training materials, and user support resources.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform application enhancements and innovation.
Knowledge and Experience Required
- 8+ years of progressive experience in HRIS leadership roles, with at least 5 years focused on Workday.
- Hands-on experience with Workday HCM, including at least one full-cycle implementation.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage vendor relationships.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Requires occasional travel based on project needs.
Note: Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Brookfield's identity. This position requires the employee to be on-site for a minimum of 4 days to perform most effectively. We will reassess the approach on a as needed basis.
