Legal Assistant - Litigation Montreal Full-Time Permanent
A leading international law firm with a strong presence in Canada is seeking a Legal Assistant to support its Litigation practice in the Montreal office. This is a full-time, permanent position for an organized and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transcribe and edit legal documents including correspondence, agreements, contracts, proceedings, and reports
- Manage administrative tasks such as time entry, expense reports, and billing
- Maintain and manage calendars and ensure timely follow-ups
- Keep filing systems organized and up to date (including indexing)
- Handle photocopying, faxing, document scanning, and other clerical tasks as needed
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal assistant in litigation
- Strong command of both French and English (written and spoken)
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word (advanced features), and working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Detail-oriented, meticulous, and highly organized
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Team-oriented, versatile, and proactive
