Job Description:

Professional Engineering, Materials and Processes (M&P)

• As a member of the Engineering team, you will provide front-line support to activities related to CRJ aircraft in service and product development.
• You will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical functions, such as the evaluation of processes, metallic and non-metallic materials and their limitations.
• You will be responsible for ensuring the application of the requirements of the Materials and Processes group and providing expertise in activities ranging from the design to the repair of aircraft parts, in production, in service and supporting our supply chain.
• Handle new environmental regulations that have an impact on client and their products.
• You will conduct technical investigations, participate in the resolution of complex problems, make technical decisions and provide regular updates on the situation to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry, and have a minimum of 10 Years of relevant experience in similar functions.
• Know the materials used in aeronautics, particularly non-metallic materials such as sealants, adhesives, lubricants, paints, as well as the processes related to them.
• Familiar with surface treatment, anodizing, chemical conversion, plating operations.
• Know the characteristics of aluminum, titanium, steel and corrosion resistant steel as well as their treatment.
• You are autonomous and demonstrate good judgment.
• Aware of typical military or aeronautics industry standards, such as MIL, federal, SAE specifications, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English are required.
