Dryco Systems Inc has been a Vancouver Island steel studs and drywall subcontractor since 1980, offering contract services for steel stud framing, drywall and acoustic ceilings. Our high level of service and workmanship has allowed us to become one of the most well-known drywall contractors on the island. We specialize in commercial construction, including high-rise multifamily, office towers, schools, retail stores and hospitals.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Duncan, BC for a Junior Project Estimator. The Junior Project Estimator will be responsible for estimating the costs of materials, labour, and equipment required for construction projects. They will collaborate with the other on site estimator, project managers, supervisors, and other professionals to gather project requirements and create accurate project estimates. Additionally, the Junior Project Estimator will assist with analyzing project data, preparing reports, and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of construction industry practices, materials, and techniques
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans
• Experience with BIM required, (Revisto is being used on the current project)
• Experience in project management or construction estimating is a plus
