About the Role
The Senior IT Network Engineer will have a multifaceted role in managing, enhancing, and securing our company's network infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation of network systems, resolve issues, implement robust security measures, and contribute to network expansion projects.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all daily operations and project activities are well-defined, efficiently managed, meet established standards and policies, and deliver expected outcomes.
- Design, configure, and implement secure network solutions while working in tandem with the Information Security team, playing a pivotal role in the development and implementation of security policies, protocols, and procedures within the networking environment.
- Creating documentation, while overseeing the deployment and testing of various network technologies in accordance with industry best practices.
- Diagnosing the root causes of issues and devising and executing effective plans for repair, prioritizing methods that mitigate identified risks and consequences.
- Ensure effective asset management by maintaining all equipment, warranties, and licensing for inscope equipment, software, and services, while ensuring that our partners and vendors are industry experts, consistently delivering high-value services to the organization.
- This is a hybrid role involving both remote and on-site collaboration.
Qualifications
- 10 or more years of work experience in IT Networking or equivalent combination of transferrable experience and education.
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining Meraki SD-WAN solutions.
- Advanced proficiency in managing Palo Alto Firewalls, including policy configuration and GlobalProtect VPN administration.
- Hands-on experience with Arista infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in wireless implementation for branch offices and distribution centers.
- Strong experience in enterprise-level data center design, including network architecture, scalability, and redundancy planning.
- Proven leadership abilities including effective knowledge sharing, conflict resolution, facilitation of open discussions, fairness and displaying appropriate levels of assertiveness.
- Proven experience in network administration, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, security, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Able to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately for all levels and audiences.
- Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong customer focus with ability to manage customer expectations and experience and build long-term relationships.
- Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with a broad range of people and roles including vendors and IT-business personnel.
- Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
- Experience developing, documenting and maintaining procedures.
- Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance.
Pay range and compensation package - $120k
Bonus up to 10k - paid quarterly
