Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Specialist - Senior

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Assignment Type: Hybrid (onsite presence at Hiring Manager's discretion)

Rate : $75/hr - $80/hr

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of health privacy experience conducting PIAs on medium to high complexity projects.
• Minimum 5 years of operational-level privacy experience, ideally in health or IT sectors.
• Minimum 5 years of experience drafting and reviewing privacy requirements for data sharing agreements.
• Demonstrated ability in developing privacy policies and procedures.
• Deep familiarity with PHIPA and its provisions for Health Information Network Providers (HINP) and Electronic Service Providers (ESP).
• Knowledge of FIPPA and access/privacy frameworks in health/public sectors.
• Strong understanding of privacy and security trends, compliance concepts, and their business impacts.
• Experience with risk assessments, corporate privacy training, and governance modeling.
• Working knowledge of digital health systems, information security, and technology policy.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with adjacent domains such as IT system design, business analysis, legal processes, and FOI administration.
