Airswift is seeking an SCM Category Specialist to work on a contract position with one of our O&G clients in Calgary, AB.

The Candidate:

  • The future SCM Category Specialist will have a related post-secondary education and a minimum of 6-8 years of Supply Chain Management experience
  • Must have experience managing end-to-end competitive bidding (RFP/RFQ) processes and contract execution
  • Demonstrated ability to drive supplier value creation through category management and strong post-award contract management
  • Experience managing a Corporate IT category would be an asset
  • Collaborative mindset, willing to work alongside subject-matter experts and Business Unit clients to drive sustainable change in the supply base
  • A successful track record of effectively progressing category management ideas through to implementation
  • A relationship builder, able to navigate the organization and rally the appropriate corporate resources behind critical business initiatives
  • Demonstrates a commitment and passion for Supply Chain and the value it can drive in the energy sector
  • An ambassador of strong cultural behaviors and corporate values, passionate about embedding these principles as foundational to achieving progress

The Position:

The SCM Category Specialist will be responsible for owning and supporting a fit-for-purpose Category Management plan across their assigned Indirects Portfolio. The overall Indirects Category includes IT and other Corporate spend.

This goal may be achieved through a series of opportunities that may include:

  • Prime accountability for delivering the Value Creation program, driving cost reduction/avoidance and operational efficiency/effectiveness that is impactful to the P&L
  • Ownership of all Master Service Agreements and Corporate Contracts in the assigned portfolio
  • Strategic Sourcing for Corporate, Projects, and Operations teams, in collaboration with the Projects SCM and Operations SCM teams
  • Support in executing and organizing processes and activities in accordance with SCM Policy and Standards
  • Build consensus across the organization and manage stakeholder relations, all while inspiring and driving change
