We are hiring for our client in the financial services domain.
Duration: 6 months
Job type: Hybrid ( 3 days onsite) Waterloo or Toronto
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of full stack developers and testers across multiple squads.
- Oversee integration and back-end pipeline development for the plan member website.
- Manage high-visibility, cross-cutting technical initiatives that impact multiple systems.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
- Drive alignment on architectural patterns and ensure compliance with technical standards.
- Partner with domain experts and stakeholders to assess impacts on technology strategies.
- Monitor and apply emerging tech and policy trends to ongoing operations.
- Facilitate Agile/SAFe ceremonies and ensure teams adhere to DevOps best practices.
- Collaborate in code reviews, design discussions, and process re-engineering efforts.
- Track and report progress, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of features.
Requirements:
2+ years in a technology leadership role managing engineering teams.
Strong experience in cloud infrastructure implementation (preferably Azure).
Hands-on proficiency in:
- Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, or equivalent full stack technologies.
Deep familiarity with:
- Agile methodologies (especially SAFe),
- DevOps practices,
- Test-driven development (TDD),
- Continuous integration (CI/CD).
