We are hiring for our client in the financial services domain.

Duration: 6 months

Job type: Hybrid ( 3 days onsite) Waterloo or Toronto

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of full stack developers and testers across multiple squads.
• Oversee integration and back-end pipeline development for the plan member website.
• Manage high-visibility, cross-cutting technical initiatives that impact multiple systems.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Drive alignment on architectural patterns and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Partner with domain experts and stakeholders to assess impacts on technology strategies.
• Monitor and apply emerging tech and policy trends to ongoing operations.
• Facilitate Agile/SAFe ceremonies and ensure teams adhere to DevOps best practices.
• Collaborate in code reviews, design discussions, and process re-engineering efforts.
• Track and report progress, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery of features.

Requirements:

2+ years in a technology leadership role managing engineering teams.

Strong experience in cloud infrastructure implementation (preferably Azure).

Hands-on proficiency in:

• Java, JavaScript, React, Node.js, or equivalent full stack technologies.

Deep familiarity with:

• Agile methodologies (especially SAFe),
• DevOps practices,
• Test-driven development (TDD),
• Continuous integration (CI/CD).
