Group Account Director, Client Experience

Role Overview

As a Group Account Director, Client Experience, you are a seasoned leader responsible for overseeing the management, leadership and growth of one or more large-scale enterprise-level client relationships with multiple lines of business, complex program portfolios, and a matrix of internal and external stakeholders. You are a strategic partner and trusted advisor to senior clients, with a proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and drive high-value results across integrated programs. This role demands exceptional client leadership, operational acumen, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage both strategic planning and tactical execution at scale.

The Group Account Director is part of the senior leadership team at Proof Experiences and is instrumental in agency leadership, supporting organizational growth, team development, and the elevation of client service delivery.

Salary: $130,000 + Bonus

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the relationship for one or more enterprise-level clients with multiple subsidiaries or business units, serving as the senior point of contact and strategic advisor
  • Oversee a portfolio of complex, multi-faceted programs including campaign strategy and activation, brand experiences, and integrated campaigns
  • Manage senior client relationships, ensuring proactive engagement, strategic counsel, and long-term business growth
  • Skilled in navigating complex client hierarchies and aligning strategies across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Ability to build consensus and drive alignment among varied internal and external stakeholders
  • Guide cross-functional teams across disciplines (creative, strategy, operations) and formats (live, digital, web) to deliver seamless, high-impact work
  • Comfortable adapting strategies to evolving client structures and priorities
  • Oversee account planning, staffing, and workflow to ensure operational excellence and program delivery against KPIs
  • Drive business growth through organic expansion and new business opportunities within existing client portfolios
  • Direct and support senior team members in account leadership roles, serving as a mentor and escalation point
  • Develop integrated strategies that align multiple brands under a single corporate umbrella
  • Ability to implement governance structures that support transparency, accountability, and performance tracking, with proficiency in developing dashboards and reporting systems that consolidate subsidiary-level data into executive-level insights to demonstrate ROI and impact
  • Oversee forecasting and budgeting processes across programs, ensuring financial accuracy, accountability, and continuous tracking and reporting against contract values. Collaborate with senior agency leadership on resourcing, team development, and agency-wide business planning
  • Champion a culture of innovation and curiosity, encouraging teams to push creative boundaries and explore new approaches while balancing client risk-tolerance

What You've Done:

  • 8+ years of relevant agency/ industry experience, including proven leadership and growth of major accounts or client portfolios; including working with regulated and/or government clients
  • Demonstrated success in managing integrated programs with multiple stakeholders and complex deliverables
  • Experience in marketing / communications strategy, and activation execution
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial stewardship across large-scale programs coupled with a strong understanding of corporate agency finance
  • A naturally strong attention to detail showcased by consistently delivering high-quality, precise work; naturally excels in environments that require thoroughness and accuracy. Experience leading cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams
  • Actively engaged in testing and learning approaches, including leveraging emerging technologies and AI tools to enhance program strategy, efficiency, and measurement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • Comfortable traveling and working flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
