Position Title: Creative Design Specialist
Line of Business: Capital Markets
Contract Duration: 18 months (Maternity Leave Coverage)
Potential for Extension: Yes
Potential for Full-Time Hire (FTE): Yes
Work Location: Hybrid - Toronto or Vancouver; currently remote with occasional in-office presence
Rotational Support: Shift 3PM - 12AM ALSO they are required to provide rotational workflow coordination and on-call rotational weekend support as needed
Overtime: Possible
Portfolio Submission: Required for all applications
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality presentations, templates, newsletters, invitations, and banner ads for internal and external use
- Transform dense, text-heavy content into visually engaging layouts, infographics, and custom illustrations
- Search and select appropriate digital images and vectors to support content design
- Create interactive forms and custom maps with asset/location data
- Ensure all designs adhere to company branding guidelines and are delivered on time
- Maintain quality control of all assigned projects and execute effective design strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams on complex and special projects
- Interpret client needs accurately and translate them into effective design solutions
- Log and track all project requests using a proprietary project management CRM
- Propose creative solutions and contribute ideas for operational and design process improvements
- Support training efforts and maintain up-to-date design skills
- Participate in weekend and after-hours support rotations as required
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in graphic design/desktop publishing in a fast-paced corporate environment (investment banking experience preferred)
- Strong proficiency in PC-based environments
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat DC
- Strong PowerPoint presentation design skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with print production and pre-press standards
- Demonstrated creative portfolio showcasing design skills and versatility
Education Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or equivalent professional experience
