We're seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Advisor to step into a high-pressure, fast-moving environment and help manage day-to-day people operations for a mid-sized organization in Edmonton. This is a critical support role during a time of significant transition, where you'll be relied upon to manage core HR functions.

This is a 3 month contract starting immediately with potential for extension. The position is located downtown Edmonton and will be working in a hybrid model.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee daily HR operations including employee relations, attendance tracking, onboarding, and general HR administration.
  • Manage frontline recruitment for high-volume, entry to mid-level roles.
  • Maintain up-to-date logs on employee relations matters and guide appropriate, timely responses.
  • Actively navigate existing employee files, systems, and processes to locate information and fill gaps as needed.
  • Support basic onboarding processes and assist with documentation improvements where possible.

What You'll Need:

  • Proven HR generalist experience with strong transactional and operational HR knowledge.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight.
  • Initiative, resourcefulness, and a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset.
  • Solid employee relations experience, including handling attendance, conduct issues, and policy guidance.
  • Recruitment experience for frontline/junior roles.
  • Experience with Dayforce is highly desirable.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
