About the Role:
We at Tophat HR are hiring on behalf of our client- a fast-moving group of companies across diverse industries a dynamic, business-minded Legal Counsel & Strategic Advisor. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with CEOs and leadership teams, shaping legal strategy and supporting multiple businesses at once.

What You'll Do:
- Act as a strategic advisor, partnering with founders and senior leaders to build legal frameworks that drive growth.
- Provide hands-on legal support across a wide range of matters: corporate governance, compliance, contracts, and more.
- Balance legal risk with business needs, staying practical and solution-oriented.
- Help establish internal legal systems and best practices.
- Collaborate with external counsel when needed, but keep your finger on the pulse of legal strategy.
- Keep up with changing legal and regulatory landscapes across multiple industries.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-5 years of experience, ideally in-house with tech-driven or fast-paced businesses (but open to exceptional private practice lawyers ready to move in-house!).
- Strong grasp of corporate and commercial law, with an ability to wear multiple hats.
- A founder's mindset: adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in fast-moving environments.
- Clear communicator who can distill complex issues for senior leaders.
- Someone who loves building relationships and collaborating across teams.
