About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and driven Field Sales Lead based in the Greater Toronto Area to accelerate our impact in Ontario. This is a "road warrior" role - you'll be the face of Made with Local in-store, building relationships, driving sales, and bringing big energy to our brand in the Ontario retail landscape.

This is a unique opportunity to join our fast-growing, values-led company and play a key role in MwL's expansion strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Sales & Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture important relationships with key store-level decision-makers at major and independent grocery retailers across Ontario.
  • Drive sales growth within existing accounts by increasing product visibility, securing additional facings, and setting up creative, high-impact displays.
  • Identify and close opportunities for new retail distribution within the region across a range of channels, including natural health stores, cafes, convenience, and institutional

Merchandising & Brand Presence

  • Ensure product on shelf is well stocked and properly faced
  • Execute planned promotional activities and seasonal campaigns with excellence.
  • Gather detailed data and report on in-store insights, competitor activity, and shopper behavior.

Event Representation

  • Represent the brand at trade shows, pop-ups, community events, and retailer open houses in the GTA and surrounding areas.
  • Be a passionate and knowledgeable advocate for Made with Local in every interaction.

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Work closely with our Chief Growth Officer (based in Halifax, NS) to align on sales goals and strategic priorities.
  • Use digital tools to document visits, track sales performance, and share key updates with the HQ team.
  • Provide regular feedback from the field to help inform company-wide decisions on innovation, marketing, and operations.

About You

  • You're a self-starter who thrives on independence, responsibility, and accountability.
  • You've got 2-5 years of experience in CPG field sales, merchandising, or territory management - ideally in natural or grocery retail.
  • You have a high degree of trustworthiness, great instincts, and follow-through.
  • You're an outstanding communicator who can build relationships quickly and represent a mission-driven brand with authenticity.
  • You love being on the road, meeting new people, and seeing the tangible results of your work in-store.
  • You're based in or proximate to the GTA, have a valid driver's license, and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • You're passionate about food, sustainability, and building community through business.
