MAIN DUTIES
As the Account Director for Specialty Markets at 1 Hotels, your primary duty is to encompass a multifaceted approach to driving revenue and fostering client relationships. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies tailored to attract entertainment, consortia and corporate clients. It requires building and maintaining strong relationships through networking, industry events, and regular communication to understand client needs. The Account Director conducts sales activities such as meetings and presentations, negotiates contracts, and oversees the account management process to ensure client satisfaction. They continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt strategies and identify growth opportunities. Collaboration with internal teams is essential for aligning efforts and maximizing revenue generation. Regular reporting and analysis of sales performance metrics inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement. Overall, the Account Director plays a pivotal role in driving sales, nurturing client relationships, and maximizing revenue through corporate and entertainment bookings for the hotel.
GENERAL DUTIES
Sales Strategy Development & Implementation
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
- Participate in pricing decisions and negotiate contracts with clients and partners.
- Develop and implement sales policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Client Relationship Management
- Building and nurturing relationships with corporate clients, entertainment agencies, and event planners.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
- Cultivating long-term relationships with key clients and accounts.
Sales Activities & Process Management
- Conducting sales activities including meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Managing the sales process from prospecting to contract closure.
- Managing the sales pipeline and prioritizing leads.
- Identifying target markets and prospecting for new business opportunities.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, operations, and revenue management for a coordinated approach to sales and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate sales efforts with the 1 Hotel's branding and marketing strategies.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment within the sales team.
Analysis & Reporting
- Monitoring and analyzing sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions, contracts, and revenue forecasts.
Training & Development
- Provide leadership, training, and guidance to the Sales team when needed.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
Industry Engagement and Networking
- Attend and represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Continuous Improvement
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales processes and procedures for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry developments, emerging trends, and best practices to remain competitive in the market.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- A bachelor's degree is required. A degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum 4+ years in hotel sales, preferably in progressively responsible roles, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Previous experience within a luxury hotel setting is a plus.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for negotiating contracts, delivering presentations, and building relationships with clients.
- In-depth knowledge of sales strategies, techniques, and best practices within the hospitality industry.
- Capacity to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with the hotel's business objectives.
- Proficiency in analyzing market trends, forecasting sales, and interpreting data to make informed decisions.
- Experience with CRM systems for managing client interactions, tracking sales activities, and maintaining customer databases.
- Strong networking abilities to establish and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and industry professionals.
- Ability to negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and partnerships with clients and vendors.
- Aptitude for identifying challenges, developing solutions, and resolving issues to ensure customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
