Security Engineer - Akamai Specialist

Duration: 12 Months with potential to extend/convert

Location: 2 days in office Downtown Toronto

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the Content Delivery Network (CDN) for enterprise applications, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Handle all incident outages related to content delivery, working to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Onboard domains to Akamai, managing the domain name lifecycle and ensuring seamless integration.
• Implement and manage SSL certificates, ensuring secure communication for web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align security and delivery goals with organizational objectives.
• Utilize Akamai, Cloudflare, and AWS CloudFront for content delivery and security.
• Lead and drive the delivery of security projects and initiatives, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Akamai technologies in security and delivery.
• Proven track record of managing CDN for enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of incident management and resolution for content delivery networks.
• Experience with onboarding domains to Akamai and managing domain name lifecycles.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing SSL certificates.
• Familiarity with Cloudflare and AWS CloudFront for content delivery.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to lead and drive projects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively convey security strategies to various stakeholders.
