Our CASL Surface Technologies division is a corrosion and wear solutions provider with over 25 years of experience, and we are looking to add to our growing team at our Nisku Facility.

The Opportunity:

The Grinder works with the coatings team and utilizes a variety of grinding machines to prep and finish components to required customer and internal specifications.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret charts, drawings, and blueprints
• Determine product specifications and calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments
• Measuring, examining, and testing completed units to ensure the requirements are met by using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges)
• Remove carbide, chrome, and steel using appropriate abrasive and/or rough and finish grind to tight tolerances (up to 0.0005")
• Determine and monitor the feed and speed of machines as well as abrasive selection for honing
• Observe operating machines and equipment to prevent, and if needed, diagnose machine malfunctions requiring maintenance adjustments, or repair
• Lift or hoist work pieces
• Outer Diameter and Inner Diameter grinding
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in grinding and/or machining considered an asset
• Applicants with technical training preferred
• Working knowledge of manual lathes, mills, drill presses, and precision measuring tools
• Able to lift 50 lbs
