Required Skills:

• Good years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with good years focused on AWS networking.

• Expert-level knowledge of AWS networking services (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Private Link, VPN, etc.).

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing, subnetting, and NAT.

• Hands-on experience with network performance monitoring and logging tools.

• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools.

• Familiarity with DevOps tooling: Git, CI/CD pipelines, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.

• AWS certification preferred (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Solutions Architect).

• Experience with multi-account AWS architectures using AWS Organizations and Control Tower.

• Hands-on knowledge of service mesh technologies (App Mesh, Istio, etc.).

• Experience integrating on-prem and AWS networks in enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with container networking (ECS, EKS) and load balancing (ALB, NLB).

Roles and responsibilities:

• Design and deploy scalable AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.

• Architect and implement hybrid cloud network connectivity solutions, including AWS Direct Connect, VPN, and Transit Gateways.

• Define and build secure, high-performance, resilient, and cost-effective cloud network architectures. Network Engineering

• Plan and implement AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environments, including subnetting, route tables, NAT gateways, and peering.

• Configure and maintain network security mechanisms such as NACLs, security groups, AWS Network Firewall, and WAF.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance and latency across AWS regions and availability zones.

• Implement high-availability networking solutions across multiple AWS regions and accounts.

• Design and implement DNS solutions using Route 53 and hybrid DNS architectures. Operations & Monitoring

• Use tools like AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and third-party monitoring platforms to proactively manage and monitor network performance and security.

• Conduct regular performance testing, network assessments, and vulnerability scans. Security & Compliance

• Collaborate with the security team to enforce best practices in network security and compliance (e.g., NIST, CIS Benchmarks, PCI-DSS).

• Implement traffic inspection, segmentation, and logging policies for audit readiness and incident response. Collaboration & Documentation

• Work with cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and developers to align infrastructure design with application needs.

• Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation of network architecture, changes, and operational procedures.

• Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to junior engineers and support staff.
