TRS is collaborating with a leading Canadian resource company that is seeking a PROJECT SYSTEMS IMPROVEMENT LEAD to oversee the management, integration, and continuous improvement of digital systems supporting capital projects.
This role bridges project execution teams, digital systems, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless implementation and sustainment of project technologies.
This is a pivotal role focused on the sustainment and continuous improvement of a recently implemented project management system. The successful candidate will play a key part in driving user adoption through training and change management initiatives. A strong background in capital projects, along with a solid understanding of project processes and system implementation, is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and integration of project systems with enterprise platforms (e.g., ERP).
- Manage third-party vendors and consultants for system delivery and support.
- Drive continuous improvement in project systems and processes.
- Coordinate onboarding and training for new systems across project teams.
- Act as a liaison between project teams and internal digital systems departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements (e.g., SOX).
- Support change management and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in capital project execution and digital systems delivery.
- Experience in mining or industrial environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project controls, procurement, and field operations.
- Familiarity with Oracle Unifier and UMT360 is an asset.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an advantage.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
