Position Overview:

As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the full life cycle of wood frame multi-family residential construction projects-from site preparation through to final handover. You will be the on-site leader, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead on-site construction activities and manage all phases of construction life cycle.
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and tradespeople.
• Oversee wood frame multi-family builds, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures.
• Maintain detailed daily site reports, project schedules, and progress documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, architects, and engineers to resolve issues and streamline workflows.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code and local regulations.
• Manage logistics, including deliveries, equipment, and materials.
• Mentor junior site staff and promote a culture of teamwork and accountability.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on wood frame multi-family residential projects in Canada.
• Proven track record of managing full project life cycles from start to finish.
• Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, site safety, scheduling, and Ontario Building Code.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Buildertrend).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
• Gold Seal Certification or relevant construction/designation an asset.
