As the company continues to grow and evolve, Maple Leaf Homes is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Procurement to join its senior leadership team. This critical role will oversee procurement operations, build long-term sourcing strategies, and manage supplier relationships, while ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. What You'll Be Doing

• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies that support operational efficiency and long-term business growth.
• Oversee all aspects of purchasing operations, including inventory control, vendor negotiations, contract management, and cost analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including production, engineering, finance, and executive leadership-to forecast material requirements and align procurement planning with organizational objectives.
• Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, supply chain risk mitigation, and operational improvements.
• Manage procurement budgets, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reporting to the executive leadership team.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, reliability, and long-term value.
• Ensure adherence to internal systems (Syspro ERP), procurement policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and lead a procurement team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
• Drive digital transformation and process optimization within the procurement function to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive procurement or supply chain management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
• Proven experience within the construction, modular housing, or manufacturing sector is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with a track record of managing multimillion-dollar procurement budgets.
• Advanced negotiation skills, contract management expertise, and supplier development experience.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (Syspro experience is a strong asset) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• A strategic thinker with excellent analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change, build high-performing teams, and influence at all organizational levels.
