We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrative Assistant for a 3 month contract. This role has the strong potential to transition to a permanent full-time role.
About the Role
The Accounting Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Principal, and provide basic bookkeeping support to the VP Finance and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of administrative support to Principal
- Schedule and calendar management
- Preparation of various documents and reports
- Order office supplies
- Respond to emails and general inquiries
- Basic bookkeeping within QuickBooks
- Invoice Tracking and weekly reconciliation
- Ensure all transactions are posted to the appropriate accounts
- Process and manage recurring monthly expenses weekly
- Banking deposits
- Organize and plan events
- Assist with year end and audit
Qualifications
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices
- Superior problem solving skills and ability to think on your feet
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Focussed and professional demeanor
