We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Administrative Assistant for a 3 month contract. This role has the strong potential to transition to a permanent full-time role.

About the Role

The Accounting Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Principal, and provide basic bookkeeping support to the VP Finance and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of administrative support to Principal
  • Schedule and calendar management
  • Preparation of various documents and reports
  • Order office supplies
  • Respond to emails and general inquiries
  • Basic bookkeeping within QuickBooks
  • Invoice Tracking and weekly reconciliation
  • Ensure all transactions are posted to the appropriate accounts
  • Process and manage recurring monthly expenses weekly
  • Banking deposits
  • Organize and plan events
  • Assist with year end and audit

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles and practices
  • Superior problem solving skills and ability to think on your feet
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Focussed and professional demeanor
