Our client, a global mining company in Canada is seeking a Senior Land Manager.
Maintain and improve upon a robust Property Management System that will ensure all properties in Canada are maintained in good standing to secure property assets business units.
Create and maintain a unique and complete electronic property/agreement database for all properties in Canada
Maintain and ensure compliance with a communication system to ensure that the property related deadlines are duly communicated to the proper stakeholders as required
Monitor activities on potential legislative and regulatory modifications and developments and communicate relevant information to senior management
Promote effective communication and relations with government.
Relationships:
Work with senior management (including legal) within multiple business units, exploration/geology, business development, projects and engineering and other business units.
Work with government departments, local authorities, industry associations and other interested parties across Canada.
Maintain memberships and participate in land and tax related associations, e.g. Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), Ontario Mining Association (OMA), Québec Prospectors Associations (APQ), The Canadian Mining Association (CMA), Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM)
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
10 years' experience in a similar role
Previous experience in land management
Previous experience in an exploration/mining administrative environment
Computer literacy of various land management related and mapping software
Solid management skills
French bilingual considered an asset
