Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and legal support to corporate lawyers, ensuring efficient file management.
- Prepare and review legal documents, including incorporations, annual resolutions, and minute book maintenance.
- Assist with corporate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
- Conduct corporate searches, filings, and registrations with government agencies.
- Manage lawyers' calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate client communications.
- Handle document preparation for corporate closings, including drafting closing agendas and organizing closing binders.
- Maintain and update corporate records and databases.
- Process invoices, track billable time, and manage expense reports.
Requirements
- Legal Assistant diploma or equivalent certification.
- A minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Corporate Legal Assistant.
- Strong understanding of corporate legal procedures and document preparation.
- Proficiency in legal document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and collaboratively.
