We are seeking a reliable and highly organized Dispatcher to manage daily delivery operations for a 20-truck fleet serving the construction industry. In this role, you'll schedule deliveries, coordinate with drivers and yard staff, resolve day-to-day issues, and ensure timely, accurate service. Working in rotating shifts (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM or 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM) alongside an experienced co-dispatcher, you'll help keep operations running smoothly while planning ahead and maintaining strong communication with customers and the internal team.

- Coordinate and schedule delivery routes for a fleet of 20 trucks.
- Work closely with drivers, sales, warehouse, and yard staff to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Communicate clearly with customers to confirm schedules and address delivery inquiries.
- Support day-to-day operations while also planning for future deliveries and logistics.
- Problem-solve delivery challenges and equipment issues in real-time.
- Use dispatching software to log schedules, truck usage, and personnel.
- Maintain clear documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and team members.
Candidate requirements:
- Previous dispatch or logistics coordination experience in a construction or delivery setting.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to multitask.
- Clear, effective communication skills with both internal staff and customers.
- Familiarity with dispatching systems or scheduling software is an asset.
- A collaborative, team-first attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
- Experience dealing with unionized environments considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the Ottawa area and construction industry is an asset.
