We're Hiring: Estimator / Proposals Engineer

Are you a detail-driven technical professional with a knack for turning complex specs into winning proposals? Join Exchanger Industries Limited (EIL), a globally recognized, Alberta-based leader in custom heat transfer solutions. As an Estimator / Proposals Engineer, you'll be the face of EIL during the RFQ and proposal process, working across departments to deliver competitive, technically-sound, and profitable proposals.

What You'll Do:

• Lead technical and commercial estimating for RFQs (Air-Coolers, Shell & Tube exchangers, WHBs, condensers)
• Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, and Production
• Prepare accurate estimates, timelines, and cash flow projections
• Manage proposal documents, clarifications, and contract reviews
• Serve as first point of contact for clients during proposal phases
• Maintain detailed records in Hubspot CRM

What You Bring:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or B.Eng preferred
• 5+ years of estimating or proposal experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment
• Strong technical understanding of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and industrial design codes (ASME, API, etc.)
• Proven ability to read mechanical/fabrication drawings
• Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, ERP systems)

Bonus Points:

• Experience with manufacturing BOMs and MRP systems
• Familiarity with global standards and working in a fast-paced proposal environment
• Multilingual communication skills
