We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Fabricator / Aircraft Assembler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing, aerospace, warehousing, or construction, with a proven ability to work with various hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
This role is fulltime on salary, paying between $50k-$80k/year + benefits, DEPENDING on years of experience. Need to be located in BC, CAN.
Key Responsibilities:
- Study and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand assembly requirements.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Assemble sheet metal parts and components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, adhering to strict quality standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of assembled components to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to aerospace industry standards.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances, making adjustments as necessary.
- Safely handle and store sheet metal materials, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, machinists, and other team members to achieve seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Technical or trades qualifications/certificates, or training would be considered an asset.
- Ability to complete a criminal background check.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, warehousing, or construction is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery.
- Ability to interpret and understand drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following all safety guidelines.
- Must have and maintain the ability to legally work in Canada.
