Job Title: Marketing Assistant

Location: Edmonton, AB

Anticipated Start Date: Wednesday, July 2 nd

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary Position (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00-4:30pm

Salary: $50,000-$55,000 per year

What You'll DoAdministrator Responsibilities

Greet and assist visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional reception area.

Answer and direct incoming telephone calls; respond to general inquiries.

Manage office correspondence, including emails, mail sorting, and outgoing mail (including courier shipments).

Maintain visitor records and monitor office supply inventory.

Keep reception and common areas clean and organized.

Report maintenance and housekeeping issues.

Create job postings and sort incoming applications.

Marketing Responsibilities

Assist in managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn), including competitor analysis, content creation, scheduling, analytics tracking, and employee advocacy.

Support the execution of marketing campaigns, events (annual golf tournament & Christmas party), website maintenance, outreach, collaborations, internal training assets, and advertising.

Create, order, and distribute internal and external marketing materials such as newsletters, blog posts, business cards, signage, and tradeshow handouts.

Conduct market research and compile reports to support marketing strategies.

Coordinate and maintain Photo & Video Release forms and organize digital media assets.

Facilitate our Employee Recognition Program and promo orders, including restocking and order fulfillment.

Provide basic graphic design support.

Capture and edit photos & videos for company use.

Work cross-functionally with other departments to gather company news and updates.

Process marketing invoices.

What You Need to Have

1+ years of relevant work experience required.

Professional demeanor and exceptional customer service skills.

Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Experience with social media platforms and content creation.

Basic knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Illustrator and/or Canva).

Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.

Strong multi-tasking and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well in a team and collaborate across departments.

Reliable transportation (no nearby public transit).

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Past experience with the Industrial Construction Industry and/or any of Park Derochie's services an asset.
