Overview

The Account Manager - Convenience Channel will play a key role in managing existing retailer relationships and driving sales growth within Canada's convenience retail sector. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to deliver strategic solutions, execute merchandising programs, and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role based in Richmond Hill, Ontario, with occasional travel to customer sites and will report into the Director - Key Accounts

Key Responsibilities

Account Management & Sales Growth

  • Manage and grow relationships with key Canadian convenience retail partners.
  • Act as the primary contact for assigned accounts, handling all aspects of the relationship from execution to troubleshooting.
  • Identify new sales opportunities within the existing customer base to grow share and revenue.
  • Ensure timely communication, deliverables, and execution of retail programs.
  • Project Management - Trade Shows and Customer Events: Coordinating logistics, materials, and schedules for trade shows and customer events to ensure smooth execution and maximize lead generation opportunities.

Retail Program Execution

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Supply Chain, Product, and Marketing) to support program launches and category expansions.
  • Execute merchandising strategies that align with customer goals and SRP's business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze program performance, providing reporting and insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Partner with supply chain and planning teams to ensure accurate forecasts and product availability.
  • Support promotional planning, pricing strategies, and assortment recommendations.

Relationship Building

  • Build trust-based relationships with buyers and store-level contacts.
  • Participate in customer meetings, business reviews, and trade events as needed.
  • Deliver value-added solutions that reinforce SRP as a strategic partner.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or category support, preferably in consumer goods, retail, or convenience channels.
  • Experience working with Canadian convenience retail chains or distributors is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and make business recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or CRM tools is an asset.
  • Results-oriented and proactive with a collaborative mindset.
