RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop, secure shareholder buy-in, and communicate the business' overall mission, values, and strategic objectives.
  • Craft and execute short-term and long-term strategic plans that align with overarching goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Continuously assess market dynamics, competitor activities, and industry trends to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Team leadership and development.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and adaptability.
  • Provide guidance and support to enhance operational efficiency and drive profitability.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to a supportive, inclusive, and psychologically safe work environment.

Operational Excellence:

  • Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to track progress against operating performance, budgetsand financial goals.
  • Implement best practices, streamline processes, and drive performance improvements across all business functions.
  • Collaborate with Finance to identify revenue enhancement opportunities and cost saving measures.
  • Business Development and Innovation:
  • Contribute to sales innovations, strategic business development, and profitability in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors, expansion opportunities, customer markets, and emerging industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with shareholders, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
    • Represent at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and reputation.

    Health & Safety:

    • Manage and lead the business in a manner that ensures the health and safety of its employees, customers, the general public.
    • Develop ambassadors to promote a safety culture that can identify and mitigate risks to our people, property, assets, the environment
    • Ensure the business and its people are taking proactive measures to prevent accidents, injuries to protect the well-being of all employees.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
    • 10+ years of proven experience in senior operational leadership roles, preferably in the construction industry or related sectors.
    • In-depth knowledge of operational and construction principles, practices, and regulations.
    • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting financial data.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and mentor high-performing teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

    Working Conditions:

    The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, characterized by high levels of responsibility and accountability. As President, you will interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, including internal teams, clients, and industry partners. While the role primarily involves office-based work, travel and site visits will be required.

    Physical Demands:

    The President role primarily involves sedentary work, including extended periods of sitting, computer work, and meetings. However, Client and project site visits, occasional travel and participation in events may require standing, walking, and moderate physical exertion.
