Intega IT is a boutique IT Managed Service Provider. We pride ourselves in the service and delivery that we have consistently brought to our partners in the Ottawa community since 2001.

Intega IT is looking for a new vCIO. As vCIO, your experience is expected to include:

  • Strategic IT Leadership: Proven ability to align technology initiatives with business goals, driving digital transformation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
  • Client Relationship Management: Strong background in building trusted advisor relationships with clients, identifying their business needs, and delivering tailored IT strategies that foster growth and innovation.
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), and enterprise architecture, with the ability to evaluate, plan, and oversee implementation.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in creating and managing IT budgets, including forecasting technology spend and ensuring ROI for IT investments.
  • Vendor and Project Management: Skilled in managing third-party vendors, negotiating contracts, and leading cross-functional projects to successful completion on time and within budget.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2) and best practices for risk mitigation in IT systems.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Experience in guiding IT teams, mentoring junior staff, and fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and innovation.

The Day-to-Day

• You will be the external face of Intega, maintaining relationships with our valued clients.

• Your experience, willingness to learn, adapt and grow shines through your communication both internally with our Intega team and externally with our clients.

• You will work with Intega's active clients developing relationships to allow our clients to grow with a clear strategy through a deep understanding of their business needs, issues, and strategies, then translate those needs into solutions.

• You are constantly striving to improve and have a passion for technology and a strategic vision to help clients.

• You will be able to work with our clients to develop technology roadmaps for 1-3 years and help them to plan/budget/forecast for this.

• An ability to listen to client needs and identify technical opportunities. From here, you will scope/quote/sell the opportunities as projects to the client and work with the Intega Project Manager and Service Delivery Manager to transition from vision to success.

• You will be the person that our clients call upon when they need to reach out for that this extra help for service related opportunities. On most occasions this will be positive, but occasionally you might need to be a listening ear, empathize, and maintain great relationships with our clients.

• Sometimes clients ask us to provide solutions in technical areas that are new to us as well. You will be able to research new technologies and identify/propose great solutions which meet their needs and ensure that the same is communicated to the service desk so that they can support the client accordingly.

• Once in a while major incident can occur and at that point you will manage critical escalations with the client, communicating a clear execution plan and keeping them updated at regular intervals until incident resolution.

• Working closely with our clients, you will establish and oversee the clients' adoption, training, and development of best practices to continually drive incremental value and return on the clients' investment

• Lead Account Management team and work in tandem to achieve their targets.
