Title: Track & OCS Supervisor

Duration: 12 month Contract

Location: Toronto, ON - On site 100%

Salary: Flexible based on experience $40-50/hr

Work Schedule: Predominantly night shifts with occasional day and afternoon shifts (flexible +/- 1 hour)

  • Night: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Afternoon: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Day: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Our client is a leader in the transportation and rail industry. They are looking for a Track & OCS Supervisor to join their team for a 12 month contract.

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily reporting functions
  • Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed
  • Leading a well-versed team that requires strong leadership
  • Maintaining schedules
  • Accurate reporting and documentation
  • Understanding operational requirements and Alstom policies
  • Managing tools, vehicles, and personnel effectively

Qualifications:

  • Lead and manage a diverse group of individuals; 15 direct reports
  • Track & OCS team
  • Maintenance personnel
  • Work closely with Power Distribution and Signaling Supervisors
  • 3-5 years of experience in track work
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing people in an industrial work environment
  • Experienced with maintenance functions, well-versed in plans, creating plans, and scheduling
  • Familiar with power distribution to Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs)
  • Ability to write reports, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to policies, rules, and regulations
  • Documentation and reporting will account for approximately 25% of the role
  • Primary Technical Focus Areas:
  • Understanding the OCS system (750 volts) - high-voltage training provided
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Comfortable working at heights and around high-voltage systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with GSI & SCS (work order and time entry systems) - training provided
  • Ability to complete shift change reports, daily logs, and incident reports (training on documentation requirements will be provided)
