We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Corporate Strategy and Development that enjoys connecting the dots when facing a complex challenge and is not afraid to go off road to get to the destination. YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Strategic planning: Provide the Management Committee with detailed analyses and strategic recommendations.

  • Strategic management: Issue reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, particularly for members of management and the board of directors.

  • Business development: Support the company's strategic initiatives. These initiatives include all aspects of business development, identification of takeover targets and improvements to the business model.

  • Mergers & acquisitions: Perform all activities, including identifying and evaluating target companies, as well as overseeing all stages of due diligence.

  • Strategic thinking: Identify issues and understand the impact of variables on the company's long-term goals and develop a strategy accordingly.

  • Communication, influence and persuasion: Present information in a persuasive manner in order to promote new ideas to stakeholders.

  • Proactivity: Anticipate events/opportunities and take initiatives.

  • Sense of innovation: Encourage innovation within the team and the company. Consider various potential strategies for the company's products, services and its overall activities and business processes.

  • Project management and change management: Estimate the length of activities, appreciate risks, and build project plans. Oversee activities that are critical to a project's advancement and identify alternative courses of action as needed. Identify all stakeholders for a particular project to keep them updated on a project's progress and work with them to realign priorities.

  • Teamwork: Advise, guide and coach less experienced team members by discussing ways to manage potential and actual risks and sharing your knowledge and experience.

  • Commitment: Demonstrate flexibility in the way you lead your projects and make decisions to effectively manage various situations. Pursue goals with perseverance and resilience in the face of obstacles and setbacks.

  • As a member of the BRP Corporate Strategy & Development team, the candidate must clearly demonstrate a capacity to think in a structured way, see things from a variety of angles, be a great team player, work on tight deadlines and manage short, but intense, periods of stress.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business development, banking, business planning or mergers & acquisitions.

  • Strong proficiency in English and French; knowledge of a third language is an asset.

  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint) and Think-cell
