JOB OBJECTIVES

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate, in collaboration with the production team, maintenance work, emergency repairs, modifications, and projects. Ensure maintenance and repair activities for various equipments and systems are documented in order to optimize production and make the most efficient use of resources. Develop KPIs related to the maintenance program.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Plan maintenance activities through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and extract relevant data for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Purchase and provide the necessary components for maintenance. Follow up with various suppliers.
  • Manage the spare parts inventory. Order parts as needed or based on work orders generated by the CMMS.
  • Act as a resource person for other departments regarding planned preventive maintenance (PM) or corrective maintenance work.
  • Analyze the technical requirements of preventive maintenance for each piece of equipment (resources, time, required materials, etc.).
  • Monitor problematic situations or ambiguous cases and implement appropriate solutions and corrective actions.
  • Follow up on service call work.
  • Generate, maintain, and analyze the overall maintenance schedule.
  • Create and track the progress of maintenance activities and work orders (WO). Prepare the necessary documents and parts for interventions.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance tasks for equipment and systems, based on the maintenance team's expertise.
  • Contribute to the implementation of the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure proper filing and availability of technical documents used for equipment repairs (equipment records, work orders, etc.).
  • Participate in any initiatives aimed at improving departmental efficiency.
  • Perform any other related tasks deemed relevant to the role

ACADEMIC TRAINING

  • Diploma of College Studies in Mechanical Engineering, or training in maintenance planning and management, or any other relevant equivalent education deemed appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Understanding of the structures and manufacturing processes of sterile pharmaceutical products.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical mindset and systems design/engineering synthesis abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with peers.
  • Good judgment, autonomy, and initiative.
  • Customer satisfaction-oriented.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and frequent priority changes.
