Position: EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and HR Advisor

Status: Permanent

Location: Laval, Quebec

Salary : 70-75k + benefits

This role administers all health programs and supports various aspects of health, safety, and the environment. It also provides assistance with a range of human resources programs and services, including but not limited to: benefits, training, and payroll.

Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the company's Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and provide support to the EHS Coordinator and team.
• Administer plant health programs (audiometry, health risks, heat stress, mobile equipment, respiratory protection, etc.).
• Manage and track all employee injuries and illnesses.
• Schedule nurse visits for medical programs and prepare the necessary documentation.
• Administer and maintain the EHS website.
• Provide monthly statistics on EHS incidents.
• Maintain the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and chemical database.
• Keep the sampling database up to date.
• Conduct shop floor audits on various EHS aspects.
• Support EHS Representatives during audits.
• Learn and understand the company's EHS rules and regulations.
• Wear protective equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and report safety hazards, unsafe acts, and any incidents per company procedures.
• Support HR Advisors with various tasks (payroll, HR databases, benefits, etc.).
• Provide various information to employees.

Requirements:

• Perfectly bilingual - French and English
• A minimum of 4-5 years of Health and Safety experience
• Atleast 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Positive attitude, organized and motivated
