Position: EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) and HR Advisor
Status: Permanent
Location: Laval, Quebec
Salary : 70-75k + benefits
This role administers all health programs and supports various aspects of health, safety, and the environment. It also provides assistance with a range of human resources programs and services, including but not limited to: benefits, training, and payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the company's Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and provide support to the EHS Coordinator and team.
- Administer plant health programs (audiometry, health risks, heat stress, mobile equipment, respiratory protection, etc.).
- Manage and track all employee injuries and illnesses.
- Schedule nurse visits for medical programs and prepare the necessary documentation.
- Administer and maintain the EHS website.
- Provide monthly statistics on EHS incidents.
- Maintain the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and chemical database.
- Keep the sampling database up to date.
- Conduct shop floor audits on various EHS aspects.
- Support EHS Representatives during audits.
- Learn and understand the company's EHS rules and regulations.
- Wear protective equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety rules and report safety hazards, unsafe acts, and any incidents per company procedures.
- Support HR Advisors with various tasks (payroll, HR databases, benefits, etc.).
- Provide various information to employees.
Requirements:
- Perfectly bilingual - French and English
- A minimum of 4-5 years of Health and Safety experience
- Atleast 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Positive attitude, organized and motivated
