Fractional Fundraising Lead
Contract - Project-Based Flexible Term
Location: Toronto (Hybrid/Flexible)
The Organization
A well-established Toronto-based arts charity serving children and youth is seeking a seasoned fundraising professional to lead the creation and execution of a development strategy aimed at increasing non-ticket and program revenue. This is a fractional, project-based contract ideal for someone who can bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to the role.
The Role
Working closely with the Executive Director, the Fundraising Lead will:
- Assess the current fundraising landscape and identify key opportunities for near- and long-term revenue growth.
- Design and implement a targeted development plan that includes individual giving, sponsorships, foundation and government grants, and donor stewardship strategies.
- Take an active role in executing the plan, including donor outreach, grant writing, and partnership development.
- Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities and capacity.
What you bring
- A demonstrated track record in fundraising within the arts, education, or youth-focused non-profit sectors - or relevant, transferable experience from the private sector combined with a strong desire to drive meaningful impact.
- Strategic, yet comfortable rolling up your sleeves to drive results.
- Skilled in donor engagement, grant writing, corporate partnerships, and campaign implementation.
- Self-directed and collaborative, with the ability to work independently while keeping stakeholders engaged.
Engagement Details
This is a flexible term contract, structured around key projects and deliverables rather than fixed hours. Time commitment may vary depending on the project phase. We are open to discussing flexible working models that align with your availability and the organization's needs, provided there's continuity across the year.
